Cement
GENERAL PURPOSE Easy Mix GP Cement is a general purpose cement which meets Australian Standard AS3972, Type GP. Specifically manufactured for concrete, mortar, render, plaster, foundations and any other project requiring high strength cement. 1. Choose and calculate the appropriate aggregates to mix with Easy Mix GP Cement depending on usage. 2. Accurately measure the cement and aggregate, mixing thoroughly until an even consistency and colour is achieved. 3. Add water slowly and continue mixing until the mixture is the right consistency. Avoid over-watering as this will lower the strength of the mix. 4. Place and compress the mix well, being careful not to over-finish the surface. Easy Mix GP Cement will keep for up to six months if kept in a dry environment, off the ground and providing the bags remain sealed. High temperature and high humidity conditions may reduce the storage life of the product.Rapid Set Concrete
Easy Mix Rapid Set Concrete is a premixed, bagged product containing accurately weighed Portland cement, graded coarse and fine aggregates and quality admixtures. It also incorporates a non-chloride accelerator which ensures a far more rapid setting time when compared with standard concrete.
Because of its fast setting qualities, Easy Mix Rapid Set Concrete is ideal for pergola posts, footings, embedding playground equipment and all other applications where a rapid setting concrete is required.
Please note: Due to its rapid setting qualities, Rapid Set Concrete is not suitable for slabs or jobs that require a smooth surface finish.
SETTING A POST (RULE OF THUMB)
Width = 2x width or diameter of the post
(100mm x 100mm post requires a 200mm x 200mm hole)
Depth = 1/3 of the length of the post
(2m post length requires hole depth of 600mm.)
Note: Some structures may need formal approval – see local council for details.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare post holes and brace the posts in position.
2. Thoroughly wet the hole so that the hole does not soak up the water required for the Easy Mix Rapid Set Concrete mix.
3. Add the required amount of Easy Mix Rapid Set Concrete into the hole around the post. Do Not Mix. Ensure the post is level.
4. Pour the water required on top of the concrete. 1 x 20kg bag requires approximately 2 litres of water (add approximately 1 litre of water for every 10kg of Rapid Set Concrete).
5. Allow to cure for two hours before continuing with the next construction stage.
Post Mix Concrete
Easy Mix Post Mix Concrete is a premixed product containing accurately weighed Portland cement, specially graded aggregates and quality admixtures. It is specifically designed for simple, non-structural concrete work where the surface finish is not important.
It is recommended for fence posts, clothes lines, garden lights, letterbox posts, swings and all other applications where embedding a post or object is required.
Please note: Easy Mix Post Mix Concrete is not suitable for slabs or jobs that require a smooth surface finish.
