TONGUE & GROOVE PLY FLOORING

Tongue & Groove Ply Flooring is most commonly used in building and construction as a substrate flooring - to be laid directly onto floor joists, with an alternative product such as timber or engineered floor boards, tiles, carpet etc., to be laid on top. It is both safe and reliable when used in commercial and industrial building, and is easily designed to resist the high loading criteria required by the building codes. Its resilience and strength have been utilised in storage decks, truck floors, and flooring in sporting compleses and agricultural buildings.

Plywood flooring systems are a cost effective alternative to suspended floors in such applications

Tongue & Groove Ply Flooring is an alternative to particle board flooring (commonly known as 'orangetongue')

Tradeware source T&G ply flooring in 15, 17 and 19mm thicknesses and in 2400 x 1200 or 2700 x 1200 sheet sizes. This product is available treated or untreated.

It has a wonderful lightness and an excellent resistance to damp conditions (Class 3 gluing) which enables it to meet the specific demands of naval construction. It can also be used for interior furnishings thanks to its numerous possibilities of finish. It can be used in structure, for example the making of ship hulls, often with the use of fibre glass and epoxy resin.

Applications:
Formwork in walls, floors, roofs, frames, bridges, dams, etc

PARTICLE BOARD FLOORING

Particleboard Flooring is a well-established and well performed product in the Australian home and building industry. This wide use and acceptance has led to an increasing number of enquiries from engineers, architects and designers about Particleboard Flooring for commercial and industrial applications.

Particleboard Flooring provides major cost savings through its economy and through lighter construction allowing reduced foundation cost. Installation times are reduced since dry trades only are involved. Particleboard floors are also more comfortable for people standing for long periods and offer better wearing characteristics than some other flooring materials for wheeled traffic (especially small wheels) because of the dense surface layer.
