Timber in it’s natural form is truly a beautiful thing. Tradeware stock timber slabs in a range of species, sizes and shapes including Bluegum, Ironbark, Spotted Gum, Blackbutt, Yellow Stringybark, Redgum, Camphor Laurel, Silky Oak, Hoop Pine, Red Cedar, Mango, Jacaranda, Ana Caspi, Partridge Wood and Pacific Jarrah just to name a few.

You can buy them as is! We can dress them down to a beautiful smooth finish on our Slabmaster, also stain and coat to your requirements.

Our slabs are locally sourced from Australian hardwoods and pines. Thicknesses range from 30mm to 100mm, and widths available from 300mm to1500mm. Slabs can be up to 7.2 metres long. We are happy to cut them to whatever size you like.

QLD Red Cedar is indeed rare & very sort after, especially by Unique Furniture makers . The Red Cedar we have is over 20 years old (dry) & was cut west of GYMPIE in Queensland. We have an amazing amount of Red Cedar Slabs in stock ranging from 25,50,75 & 100mm thick x up to 800mm wide x 4.2m long.

Main uses : Fine Furniture, Exquisite Shelving, Dining Tables, Coffee Tables and Mirror Frames. Carvers love to make Jewellery Boxes & Mantel Shelves over fire places with this timber.



MACKAY CEDAR TIMBER SLABS

 

Looking for a fabulous piece of MACKAY CEDAR timber for a kitchen bench or tabletop?👀 We still have some of these beautiful Mackay Cedar timber slabs. The colouring of the true wood is a striking reddish orange with creamy sapwood. This timber is perfect for furniture, bookshelves, small and large tables, especially boardroom tables.

The timber we source is salvaged fallen tree’s due to Cyclones, Heavy Winds, Floods etc. The trees are never cut down.

'THE SLAB MASTER'

 

We love this machine!

Put the cutting head on, and this machine can take even our biggest posts, and dress them to perfectly square.

Swap the head over to the sanding pad, and the finish is unbelievable.

We mostly use this machine on our Pacific Jarrah Feature Posts or on our slabs, but stay tuned as we have a few experiments planned to see what else we can do with this thing.
